Surprise Chef 'Frogs In A Pond' LP

Pre-order. Due 23rd October.

Jade eco-vinyl.

Surprise Chef’s Frogs In A Pond digs into a shared human experience with real depth and feeling. Based in Australia, the quintet shape these pieces with a clear sense of mood, movement, and emotional detail.

Drawing inspiration from European film composers of the late ’60s and early ’70s, the album unfolds like a cinematic landscape. Its themes and textures evoke emotion even without the listener seeing the film the music could belong to.

That approach gives Surprise Chef a distinctive voice, pushing at the edges of instrumental storytelling while holding onto warmth, atmosphere, and a truly individual perspective.
